Serene, beautiful and quiet residential area located about 10 minutes (by car) away from the Kotoka International Airport and inhabited mostly by busy career people (mostly expats and Ghanaians of influence).
Airport Residential Area is located to the north-east of Accra Central, and neighboured by the 37 Military Hospital Area to the south; Dzorwulu and the Accra Mall to the north; Roman Ridge to the west; and the Kotoka International Airport to the east.

Prices of goods in this neighbourhood tend to be a little on the high side though there's a wide variety of marts and shops within short driving distance within and near the neighbourhood providing goods and services at competitive prices.
PRIVATE AND MOSTLY SECURE
This beautiful and serene neighbourhood has numerous well maintained streets lined with trees providing nice cool breezes some residents enjoy during their early morning jogging or leisurely walks. There are quite a number of good schools (mostly private) where children of residents may attend. Local public transport service to the area is not very reliable since most residents own a car. However, trotros run along roads close to or bordering Airport Residential Area if you find yourself craving the experience. To the north is the Tema motorway which links Accra to Tema, Ghanas main deep water port.
Fitness buffs can go jogging on weekends in safety during the day on the many streets crisscrossing this quiet neighbourhood. On the downside, robbers and other sinister individuals like visiting this neighbourhood at night after 10pm. Caution is advised, if you need to be outside on foot at night in this neighbourhood.
FUN AND RECREATION
For shopping within the Airport Residential Area, there's a lot of variety: there's the Koala shopping centre where you are very likely to be able to restock your fridge in one stop, get toiletries, and much more at prices that may be on the high side but worth it for the good quality. There's also the Marina Mall which is great for hanging out with friends (and of course for shopping). For those with a fancy for equestrian entertainment, there is the Accra Polo grounds for all your horse-riding needs. Restaurants are also available in the neighbourhood catering to diverse culinary tastes: Italian, French (La Chaumire) and even Japanese (Santoku Bar and Restaurant) among others. If you prefer to live in a hotel while in this neighbourhood, there are some really good ones among which are the African Regent Hotel, Airport View Hotel, Best Western Premier Hotel, City Escape Hotel, and quite a number of others. L'Alliance Française d'Accra hosts many cultural events and shows of diverse genres. Connoisseurs and amateurs of art and culture should make it a point to stop by there some time.
